Games that kill
shared VPS nodes.

ARK Survival Ascended runs Unreal Engine 5. Rust eats RAM and hammers disk I/O. Space Engineers' voxel physics pinned to one thread is a death sentence for shared nodes. Hytale is new enough that most hosts have no idea how to run it. All of them expose exactly what's wrong with oversold shared hosting — and run properly on real dedicated hardware.

What we run

No slot limits. No per-player pricing. You get a compute allocation — RAM, CPU cores, NVMe. What you do with it is your business.

game:// ue5
ARK: Survival Ascended
UE5 is brutal on single-core speed. Game ticks are serial — you can't parallelise your way out of a slow core. Your server runs on dedicated physical 5950X cores, not oversold vCPU credits shared with 30 other tenants. Every other host is running this on Xeons built for throughput, not latency.
from £62/mo
16 GB RAW DDR4 · dedicated cores · NVMe SSD

ARK: Survival Evolved
Still running ARK 1? Multi-map clusters are the real use case — Island + Aberration + Scorched Earth running in parallel. Each map is a separate server process. We quote per map, no artificial cluster fee.
from £28/mo per map
6 GB RAW per map · cluster configs available

Rust
Rust is memory-hungry and disk-aggressive. World saves, blueprint wipes, procedural maps — all of it hammers I/O constantly. NVMe SSD means saves are instant, not a stuttering nightmare every hour.
from £52/mo
12 GB RAW DDR4 · NVMe SSD · high-tick configs

Hytale
Most hosts don't support Hytale yet. We're running it now — AMP panel, mod support, custom configs. Demo server live at hy1.gamehostingnode.com:5520. Connect and see for yourself.
from £34/mo
8 GB RAW DDR4 · AMP panel · mods supported

7 Days to Die
Voxel world generation and zombie AI make 7DTD surprisingly CPU and RAM intensive at high settings. Blood moon events especially. Dedicated cores handle it without the tick stutters you get on shared nodes.
from £28/mo
6 GB RAW DDR4 · dedicated cores

Space Engineers
SE's physics and voxel sim are brutally single-threaded. Complex grids, large worlds, and explosion physics all land on one core. Your server runs on dedicated physical 5950X cores, not oversold vCPU credits shared with 30 other tenants. Real cores, real clock speed, all yours. Steam Workshop mods, no slot limits.
from £29/mo

Avorion
A procedural galaxy where each active sector runs its own thread and the main sim loop lives on one core. More players and more built ships means more sector load, not just more RAM — high single-thread clock is the whole game. On a dedicated 5950X allocation with your own physical cores, your server's ticks aren't fighting other tenants for CPU time. Steam Workshop mods, no slot limits.
from £24/mo
6–12 GB RAW DDR4 · dedicated cores · running now at av1.gamehostingnode.com

Why the hardware matters here

These games don't just need RAM. They need the right kind of compute — and most hosting hardware isn't built for it.

Dedicated cores, not oversold vCPUs
The Ryzen 9 5950X gives you 16 real cores at up to 4.9 GHz boost. Game tick loops need consistent clock speed — they get it when the cores are yours alone. On a shared Xeon with 30 tenants, every tick competes for silicon. Here it doesn't.
DDR4 is not a VPS allocation
VPS RAM is virtual — shared pool, hypervisor overhead, 10 tenants competing for the same physical DIMM. Our allocations are physical DDR4, dedicated to your server. 12 GB here outperforms 16 GB on an oversold node.
NVMe SSD for disk-hungry workloads
Rust saves, ARK world state, Hytale chunk generation — all disk-intensive. The Samsung 9100 PRO is flagship NVMe flash. No SAN, no network path. Direct disk to process. World saves don't lag the server.
No slot limits, ever
Per-slot pricing is a fiction hosts invented to extract money from you based on player count rather than actual resource usage. Your allocation is yours. Run 10 players or 200. The server has what it has — players don't change the compute cost.

FAQ

Why does ARK Survival Ascended lag so badly on most hosts?

ARK SA runs on Unreal Engine 5. UE5 is brutal on single-core performance — it needs real CPU clock speed, not vCPU credits on a shared Xeon. Most hosts oversell their nodes and every tenant fights for the same physical cores. The result is tick stutter, rubber-banding, and constant lag under load.

On a dedicated 5950X allocation with your own physical cores, your server's ticks aren't fighting other tenants for CPU time. That's the difference.

Do you limit player slots on ARK or Rust servers?

No. Slot limits are an artificial restriction invented by hosts who oversell their hardware and need to control how hard each tenant can hit the node. You pay for a compute allocation — RAM, CPU, disk. How many players that supports is between you and your server config.

Can you run an ARK cluster with multiple maps?

Yes. Each map is a separate server process with its own allocation. Multi-map clusters (Island, Aberration, Scorched Earth, etc.) are quoted per map — email us with the maps you want and the specs you need for each.

How much RAM does ARK Survival Ascended actually need?

16 GB minimum for a usable experience with real player counts. Some hosts advertise 8 GB — that's a shared VPS allocation that will swap constantly under load. We allocate raw physical DDR4. 16 GB here is not the same as 16 GB on an oversold node.

Do you host Space Engineers? What about Space Engineers 2?

Space Engineers 1 is available now. The dedicated server is free via SteamCMD, and SE is notorious for single-thread physics bottlenecks — dedicated physical 5950X cores handle it without your server fighting other tenants for CPU time. Steam Workshop mods supported, no slot limits. From £29/mo.

Space Engineers 2 is a different story. As of mid-2026, SE2 is early-access single-player only. Keen Software House's roadmap adds 4-player co-op (player-hosted) later in 2026, with dedicated server support roadmapped for 2027. No host can offer SE2 dedicated servers yet because they don't exist. Join the waitlist above and you'll be first in line when they do.

◔ Coming 2027

Space Engineers 2 servers,
the day Keen ships them.

SE2 dedicated servers are on Keen Software House's 2027 roadmap. Right now SE2 is early-access single-player, and the upcoming update adds only 4-player co-op hosted by players. No dedicated server support yet from Keen — and almost no competitor host has committed to running them at launch.

When dedicated servers land, GHN runs them on bare-metal Ryzen 9 5950X: VRAGE3 engine on dedicated physical cores, raw DDR4, no slot limits, no oversold nodes. Get on the list and you're first in line. First signups get launch-week priority.

// SE2 only. No spam. We email you once — when servers go live.
